Cardiff Airport terminal building was built in the 1950's and has continued to expand and develop over the last fifty years. Over 1.9 million people pass through the terminal each year flying to over 60 destinations. The check-in desks and ticket desks are loacted in the check-in hall opposite the main terminal entrance on the ground floor. The arrivals hall and baggage reclaim are also on this floor. The departure lounge and the international pier are located on the first floor.
Cardiff International Airport is easy and quick to use. You check-in at ground floor level and then, using stairs or lifts, move up just one floor to a range of shops, food outlets and bar. Without leaving this level, you pass through a boarding card check and the security checkpoint into the departure lounge. Here you will find more shops, food outlets, a bar and other useful facilities before passing through passport control to your departure gate.
The Travel Shopping Tax and Duty Free department store in the departure lounge of Cardiff Airport offers a great range of perfume, cosmetics,
